Axion-like Particles from Nearby Type Ia Supernovae

Axion-like particles (ALPs) are a class of hypothetical pseudo-scalar and can be created in hot astrophysical plasma through the interaction between photons. I calculate production ALPs type Ia supernovae. It is found that many lighter than few MeV produced Once produced, heavy decay into photons during propagation interstellar space. flux find it may detected by future γ-ray telescopes if supernova explodes near Solar System.
